Problem: Fermi Surface Nesting in Quasi One Dimension

A quasi-one-dimensional electron system is described by

  equation3015

where tex2html_wrap_inline7099 . The band is partially filled so that the Fermi lines are open, as indicated in Figure 9.2.   Due to ``Fermi surface nesting", at low temperatures the susceptibility tex2html_wrap_inline7101 develops peaks at certain values of tex2html_wrap_inline7103 . Determine the peak position tex2html_wrap_inline7105 as a function of tex2html_wrap_inline5131 for tex2html_wrap_inline7099 .
